Terms of Service

Article 1 · Purpose
These terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between OWLGCORP ("the Company") and users ("Members") regarding use of babbage ("the Service").
Article 2 · Definitions
- "Service" means the PPTX template binding and conversion SaaS provided by the Company.
- "Member" means a person who has agreed to these terms and entered into a service agreement.
- "Workspace" means a logical container where a Member stores and manages data.
- "API key" means an authentication credential a Member issues to call the service from external systems.
Article 3 · Effect and amendment
These terms apply to all Members of the Service. The Company may amend them within the scope of applicable law, with notice 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to Members). Members who disagree may terminate the agreement.
Article 4 · Membership
Membership begins when a Member agrees to the terms and signs up via Google or email/password, and the Company accepts the application. The Company may deny or later revoke applications when:
- Identity is impersonated.
- False information was provided.
- The intent is to violate public order or morals.
Article 5 · Services provided
The Company provides the following:
- PPTX template upload and management
- PPTX/PDF binding and conversion via JSON data
- Workspace and team membership
- REST API and key management for external integration
- Paid plans with billing and usage tracking
Article 6 · Hours and interruption
Service runs 24/7 in principle. The Company may temporarily suspend service for maintenance, network outages, force majeure, or national emergencies, providing notice when possible.
Article 7 · Member obligations
- Members must safeguard their accounts and API keys.
- Members must not generate or transmit content that violates law.
- Members must not infringe the Company's or others' rights (including copyright).
- Members are responsible for the rights and clearance of uploaded PPTX templates and data.
- Members are liable for unauthorized use resulting from API key leakage.
Article 8 · Paid services and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly per the Company's published rates via Stripe; the Company does not store card data directly. Details on billing, refunds, and plan changes are governed by the Refund Policy.
Article 9 · Usage limits and overage
Each plan has a monthly render quota. Once exceeded, calls return HTTP 402 until the Member upgrades or the next cycle begins.
Article 10 · Termination
Members may withdraw or cancel a subscription at any time from the Service. The Company may restrict service or terminate the agreement without prior notice when terms or laws are violated.
Article 11 · Privacy
The Company protects Member privacy under the Privacy Policy. Collection, use, provision, and destruction of personal data follow that policy.
Article 12 · Copyright and data ownership
Copyright of uploaded templates, data, and outputs belongs to the Member. The Company processes them only as needed to provide the service.
Article 13 · Disclaimer
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure (natural disasters, war, riots, cloud infrastructure outages at Firebase / Google Cloud).
- The Company does not warrant accuracy or completeness of Member-uploaded data or generated outputs.
- The Company is not liable for consequences of API keys being leaked or carelessly managed by the Member.
Article 14 · Governing law and jurisdiction
Disputes between the Company and Members are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the court having jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters has venue.
